Cafe Luitpold

No ratings yet
Patisserie with a history (and a museum)
A 19th-century landmark patisserie that suffered during the Second World War, then reconstructed and renovated on several occasions, most recently in 2010. Cakes rank as some of the city's finest. An upstairs museum recalls za old days, but without any English translation. The café's modern look will appear a bit sterile for some, but the indoor, elegant palm court might make for a festive and genteel setting for tea and cakes. There's also a full-on restaurant here.
